B&W Film Developing and Printing Workshop, April 26-27
This 2-day workshop will introduce you to developing and printing black and white film. In day one, you will develop your own film to create negatives for use in printing. On day two, you will select one or several of your own photographs and print them.
You will need to come on day one with one to two rolls of developed black and white film. I strongly recommend using Ilford HP5+, as different films require different developers and development time.
On day two, you will need to bring Ilford Multigrade RC paper to create contact prints of your negatives and enlargements. It is available locally here.

You should purchase and shoot one to two rolls of Ilford HP5+ film and bring a pack of Ilford Multigrade RC paper to print on.
Ilford offers a value pack that would work perfectly and can be purchased locally at The Camera Company here.
The course fees include all chemicals and supplies for developing and printing outside of film and paper.
-
This course is for photographers comfortable making photographs with their film cameras but have not spent time in a darkroom or haven’t been in the darkroom for a long time.
-
The workshop will take place at my home darkroom in Madison, professionally equipped with four enlargers and all equipment needed to develop film and make prints. You will receive directions after registering for the workshop.
